  • Overview

    Velcare is a complete bandaging solution for Lymphedema.Lymphedema swelling, which often affects the arm or leg, is caused when extra lymph fluid builds up in tissues because of the blockage, damage or removal of lymph vessels by surgery. Conveniently, all-in-one velcare compression bandaging kit consists of multilayer short stretch bandages, padding and fixation materials which improves tissue texture, reduces limb volume and overall shape of the limb.It is an effective way to achieve compression in lymphedema patients.

        Used to protect the skin
        Made up of 100% Cotton which absorbs excess perspiration, it is important to use a stockinette underneath compression bandages
      • Velform™-C (Woven Conforming Retention Bandage)
        Used to wrap individual digits
        Also used to keep foam rubber pads in place before short stretch bandages are applied.
      • FoamBand (Soft Foam Bandage)
        Applied just prior to the actual compression bandages
        To cushion the limb & prevent sharp indentations or irritation of the skin
        Serve to distribute the pressure evenly over area of arm or leg
      • Velkomp® Short stretch Compression Bandage
        Used to achieve the required compression
        Sort stretch because of its weave & does not contain any elastomeric fibers
      • Velcare™ Foam (High Density Foam Rubber)
        The use of pre-made or custom cut foam pads is recommended for anatomical indentations surrounding bony prominences (eg: Ankle & Wrist)
        Pieces of foam rubber are cut to size and placed in the indentation for even pressure distribution.
      • Velpore™ - SR (Surgical Paper Tape)
        Used to secure the short stretch bandages to avoid slippage for effective compression
