Velvert® -Secure is a natural antimicrobial barrier dressing with an adhesive coated Polyurethane backing. The dressing consists of a polymeric sponge loaded with our patented natural antimicrobial formulations. Velvert® -Secure is found to be effective even against the Superbugs as proved in the time kill assay, where the population of microorganisms is 99.9999% reduced within 30 minutes in vitro.

Used to absorb exudates and to cover post-operative wounds and suture lines.
Highly porous structure ensures absorption capacity for up to 20 times its own weight.
Provides immediate and continuous antimicrobial protection for up to 5 days with integrated natural antimicrobial formulation.
Velvert® -Secure is biocompatible, non-toxic and safe to human tissue.
Adhesive is non-irritant and gentle to the skin.
Action
The active formulation of Velvert® -Secure kills microbes by different ways, for example by interacting with cell membrane, binding with metalloproteinase, inhibition in protein synthesis and DNA replication etc.
All the components of the formulation work in a synergistic manner to speed up the healing process by effectively killing of the microbes present in the wound.

Application Method
Step 1: Ensure wound site is clean and dry as per hospital protocol.
Step 2: Open Velvert® -Secure package and take out the sterile dressing.
Step 3: Remove the first piece of backing paper labelled “Remove 1” or “1”.
Step 4: Align dressing to ensure the Velvert® -Secure pad is in contact with the entire wound surface.
Step 5: Apply the open half of the dressing to the patient’s skin and remove any air bubbles.
Step 6: Remove the second piece of backing paper labelled “Remove 2” or “2”.
Step 7: Apply the second open half of the dressing to the patient’s skin and remove any air bubbles.
Step 8: Gently press down on all sides of the dressing to ensure it has adhered.
Step 9: Remove the backing paper labelled “Remove 3” or “3”.
Step 10: If required, apply a new piece of Velvert® -Secure.
Note: The dressing may need to be changed every 4th day.
