Velfour® is a multi-layer compression bandage system for treating venous leg ulcers & associated conditions. Variety of kits are available which contain a number of different components, the choice of which is determined by the dimensions (circumference) of the leg to which it is to be applied.
The compression produced by the bandage system is the sum of the individual pressures produced by each of the three extensible bandages. Because sub-bandage pressure is directly proportional to bandage tension but inversely proportional to limb circumference, limbs of different sizes will require kits with different components to achieve clinically effective levels of compression.

Four kits are available which contains number of different components
Kit A & Kit A Plus are for those patients having ankle circumference between 18-25cms, whereas Kit B and Kit B Plus are for those who have ankle circumference more than 25cms
Provides approximately 40mmHG of High Sustained Compression Therapy (HSCT) pressure at the ankle, reducing to 17mmHg at knee
Provides approximately 40mmHG of High Sustained Compression Therapy (HSCT) pressure at the ankle, reducing to 17mmHg at knee
Maintains effective level of compression even up to a full week after application
Orthopaedic wool protects the bony structures
Sufficient absorption capacity to manage exudates for up to a full week without needing reapplication
